Art Shorting was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Art started playing the guitar at the age of ten and by age twelve started singing and entering talent shows. Art found strength and encouragement through gospel songs and faith in the bible. Jimmy Swaggart became his inspiration and it was through Jimmy�s singing that Art found the perfect song that eased his pain and expressed the anguish he was feeling.
