The following are some of the most frequently asked questions regarding the studio. As time goes on I will add more to the list.

 

HOW MUCH DOES AN ALBUM COST?

 

This really depends on a lot of factors. Generally speaking you get what you pay for, just like everything else in life. There are a few things that we need to know before starting recording. How many songs are you looking to record? Do you have a band? Do you need musicians? What kind of music do you play? (Certain types of music like pop, country take longer to record).

 

The best thing to do in this situation is to email or call us for a quote, please keep in mind the above questions that we will ask you.

HOW MUCH ARE SESSION MUSICIANS?

 

Generally speaking session players are $100 per song / per instrument. However it really depends on the situation, the studio has no sway on musician rates. However, depending on the amount of songs, sometimes there are discounts.

 

HOW DO I BOOK TIME?

 

Its easy call or email! Usually we need a few days notice, of when you’d like to come in, if it’s a big session, give us a week or so to make sure we can get you in

 

IF I RECORD WITH YOU DO I GET ON THE RECORD LABEL?

 

No. The studio and the record label are 2 different entities. The studio works for the label and the public (custom). If the label is interested in your music you may get approached, however that is entirely up to you.

 

HOW DO I GET ON THE RECORD LABEL?

 

That’s a fairly easy question (yet loaded question). Sunshine Records, accepts demos and press kits via email and regular mail.

 

The process is simple; send us a demo (cassette is fine) of what you do and what you are interested in doing. Please also attach a list of performances, and a short bio.

HOW DO I GET FUNDING!
